My father started this company in 1960 by servicing an eye clinic located next to Sears in St. Paul. What began as a part-time job, turned into a successful full-time business. Long hours and attention to detail turned into a successful formula, and once other customers found out what my father could do, he quickly learned how to hire and train employees so that he could continue to grow. Dad also knew how to listen for what people wanted, and then delivered personalized service which set him apart from the competition.
2nd Generation Business Ownership
Back in 1995 my father decided it was time to retire, and that was when I became the second generation to continue what he worked so hard to build. Being the new leader wasn’t going to be an easy job, but I had 21 years of hands on experience and a degree in Business Management as a guide. I also have the ability to read people and the knowledge of what products and techniques are needed to complete most janitorial tasks. I’m also proud to say that I still go out on numerous jobs to either train or help my employees, and I always pay close attention to detail.

When a customer asks me what do I offer that is different from the competition, this is what I tell them: I am probably not going to be the least expensive janitorial service, but I will give you what you pay for. Here is why: Quality employees cost more, and so do better cleaning products. I have also learned through experience that employees have much more respect for a boss that has done the job themselves. I have cleaned every building that I do business with, and I also have countless hours of experience with carpet cleaning and floor care.
Cost is an important factor, but customers that are only interested in the lowest price often find out that quality is compromised somewhere. I have also heard all kinds of horror stories from customers who were given this great introductory price only to find out that the final cost was totally different. Cheaper isn’t always better, and neither is hiring the biggest fish in the sea. I offer a quality service at a competitive price, and I also offer personalized service that the major hitters in this business just don’t have. Fancy brochures and salespeople who have never cleaned a building a day in their life are not going to bring results, but an experienced local service like my company will.
